Put Something Back Recognizes Distinguished Attorneys for Exceptional Pro Bono Service
On May 17, 2016, Dade Legal Aid/Put Something Back honored several prominent lawyers for outstanding pro bono service to the community during the Dade County Bar Association’s 2016 Recognition Luncheon held on May 6 at the Hyatt Regency in Downtown Miami. Judge Jennifer D. Bailey, Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Florida, presented the pro bono awards during the ceremony that included the following honorees:
Zachary N. James, a partner with Meland Budwick, P.A., received the Child Advocacy Award for zealously handling dependency cases for youth. “James not only advocated on behalf of these children, but treats them like his own family members,” said Karen Ladis, Executive Director of Dade Legal Aid.
